Sustainability
At The Edit, we are committed to promoting sustainability and minimizing our environmental impact across all aspects of our business. Our goal is to create fashionable, high-quality women's clothing while ensuring that we protect the planet for future generations. This policy focuses on our efforts to implement sustainable solutions and utilise sustainable processes.
Sustainable Packaging Commitment
-
Eco-Friendly Materials: We will use biodegradable, compostable, or recyclable materials for all our packaging. This includes, but is not limited to, packaging boxes, mailers, and inserts.
-
Reduction of Plastic Usage: We pledge to significantly reduce or eliminate single-use plastics in our packaging. Where plastics are necessary, we will ensure they are recyclable. We aim to add no plastic packaging in to circulation and ask our suppliers to minimise the amount of plastic packaging they use when shipping to us.
-
Design for Reuse: Our packaging will be designed with reuse in mind, encouraging customers to repurpose or recycle packaging materials after receipt.
-
Supplier Collaboration: We will work closely with our suppliers and partners to ensure sustainable practices are employed throughout the supply chain. This includes sourcing packaging materials from ethical suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability.
-
Customer Education: We will provide information to our customers about how to properly recycle or dispose of packaging materials to minimize waste.
Sustainable Fabrics Commitment
-
Sourcing of Sustainable Materials: We are dedicated to sourcing fabrics that are sustainably produced. This includes sourcing materials with a lower environmental impact.
-
Minimizing Waste: We will adopt production methods that minimize waste, and recycle wherever possible using local waste management suppliers.
-
Supporting Ethical Brands: We are committed to collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers who prioritize sustainability and fair labor practices, ensuring that our sourcing aligns with our values.
-
Continuous Improvement: We will regularly review and update our sourcing strategy to incorporate new sustainable materials and practices as they become available.
Monitoring
We will monitor our sustainability practices and set measurable goals to track our progress.
